Bottled water purchased at the UT PAC is allowed into all events and theatres, except those hosted by the Austin Symphony, Ballet Austin and Austin Lyric Opera. Policies on other drinks and food vary by event and by theatre. Check with a bartender, server or usher for the most current information for your specific performance.
The following items are offered at most performances in Bass Concert Hall: Champagne • Mixed Drinks • Wine • Premium & Domestic Beer • Soft Drinks • Bottled Water • Starbucks Coffee • Tazo Hot Tea • Candy • Pretzels • Cookies • Box Lunches • Desserts.
DESSERT BAR
For selected events in Bass Concert Hall we offer a full Dessert Bar serving fine desserts and coffee. The Dessert Bar is located on the Bass Concert Hall Lobby Mezzanine (Level 3).
PRE-ORDER CONCESSIONS
No more waiting in concession lines during intermission! Place your order for drinks, snacks and desserts at any bar in Bass Concert Hall before the event begins. During intermission, pick up your order at the “Pre-Ordered Concessions” table on the Bass Concert Hall Lobby Mezzanine (Level 3).
LATE SEATING/RESEATING POLICIES
ARRIVE EARLY! Patrons arriving late will be seated by a PAC Patron Services Associate or Volunteer Usher in accordance with the policy mandated by the touring production, artist or resident company. Latecomers to Bass Concert Hall and Bates Recital Hall may view the performance on monitors located in the lobby. The lobby opens approximately 1 hour prior to curtain and the house opens approximately 30 minutes prior to curtain.
*Each touring company/artist performing at the UT PAC sets its own late seating policy for both patrons arriving late and those who step out of the hall during a performance. To avoid problems with a late seating policy, arrive early so you may attend to your comfort needs and be in your seat before curtain time. If you have questions about the late seating policy ask an usher or refer to notices posted in the lobby.
CHILDREN
Children are welcome at the Performing Arts Center. For PAC Season events, children three years of age and under do not require a ticket and are allowed to sit on their parent/guardian's lap during the performance. For Broadway events (e.g. The Lion King), everyone entering the hall must have a ticket regardless of age. If the child cries or is disruptive to other audience members, the child and parent/guardian may be asked to exit the theatre and view or listen to the event in the lobby. There are no refunds. Tickets purchased for children must be in the same seating area as, and adjacent to, the parent/guardian.
CAMERAS & RECORDING DEVICES
We understand that many of your visits to the PAC may be in celebration of a special occasion and that you may want to document the event. You are welcome to take photographs outside our venues and in the lobby spaces only. Our playful dog sculpture by David Demming in the main lobby of Bass Concert Hall makes a wonderful photo opportunity.
However, due to copyright laws and in consideration of the performers, the use of photographic or recording devices of any kind inside the theatre is strictly prohibited. If you bring a camera with you, we will politely ask you to check it at our Patron Services window, or with an usher before entering the theatre.
