Overview
Celebrating 25 Years!

“The arts bring people together and introduce us not only to what is unique, exotic or different in ourselves, but also to what we have in common… to the humanity we all share.” — Pebbles Wadsworth, UT PAC Director

                        . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Since its first performance in 1981, the University of Texas Performing Arts Center has evolved into one of the largest and most extraordinary university arts presenters in the country.  Powered by a commitment to educate, enlighten and entertain, the PAC has helped establish UT and Austin as a venue for international culture and performing arts.

Like the university and city that give it life, the PAC promotes an artistic fusion and diversity in which pop legends, chamber orchestras, alternative rock bands and world music superstars share the season. From Broadway to Baryshnikov, Tony Bennett to Alicia Keys, Gipsy Kings to Kodo Drummers of Japan, the PAC presents a kaleidoscope of world-class artists in all genres to more than 253,000 visitors each year.

Operating under the auspices of the College of Fine Arts, the PAC serves as an incubator for new works,  provides a professional setting for students to learn and, through a commitment to Lifelong Learning, offers hands-on experiences to Central Texans that enrich lives and establish a lifelong habit of participating in the arts.

The UT PAC's impact on the arts goes beyond the Austin community. Founded in partnership with the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies, the ArtesAmĂ©ricas Latin arts & education initiative has created a gateway for Latin American artists to bring their art, history and culture  to the U.S, facilitating artistic/cultural exchanges between countries.

The UT PAC’s performances occur in six venues on campus:
•  Bass Concert Hall
•  Hogg Memorial Auditorium
•  Bates Recital Hall
•  B. Iden Payne Theatre
•  McCullough Theatre
•  Oscar B. Brockett Theatre

Now celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the UT Performing Arts Center invites you to explore the arts at the University of Texas and beyond. The UT PAC's 2006|07 Season is coming soon.
